Resistance can feel like many things:
- A literal heaviness
- 'I donโt want to do this'
- 'I canโt do this'
- 'Iโm not ready'
Resistance is not a character flaw or lack of discipline, so please stop beating yourself up. It is your brain's intelligent protection strategy.โ

Your nervous system senses change and interprets it as risk. All it knows is that you survived with the old you in place, so it would rather keep you safe here than go there.
Our brains are wired for what feels safe, not necessarily for what is most effective.โ

The best way to work through resistance is consistent progress.

If you plan to move your body more in 2026, the first step is simply to do it.
-Even when you donโt feel like it.
-Even when itโs uncomfortable.

The same is true for presence.
There is no perfect moment to be more present with your family. There is simply the decision. And over time, that decision becomes so automatic that it becomes second-nature. Technology down. Eyes up. Heart open.
